As one year of G3F's existence draws nearer, its time to kick it to a higher level. Everyone in this community means something to me and to each other. In this regard, its up to us to make this community flourish and there are many ways to do it. Post, refer, have fun, make tutorials, etc. are just some of the ways but there are always more. I know you know what I mean. Maybe.
I ask you all to help me push this forum forward whether the neighbors next door like it or not. Can we reach 1000 members by next month?

So here's a little motivation and incentive to try. This is G3F's first official contest at such a large scale and it might become an annual thing if it meets good response. Without further delay, here we go.

The contest is basically based on which member can earn the most referrals and post the most (both in terms of quality and quantity), plus some fun challenges and tasks to accomplish as well.

Forum Staff are not eligible for competing in this contest.
The "points" referred to in this thread are not Gs. Please do not be confused.
Any member found to be cheating, boosting or engaged in any unfair means will be disqualified.
Members must post on this thread if they want to participate in the contest.
Previous posts, referrals, etc. will not be counted.
Any low quality posts, spam, forum games posts, etc. will not be counted.
This contest starts on June 10th and ends on July 10th.

Here are the main instructions and guidelines for the contest:
There will be 3 main winners for First, Second and Third place. Moreover, there will be five runner-ups. Each of them will be get a prize and the prizes will be listed later in this thread.

How are the winners decided you ask? The member with the most points earned from the following ways will be declared as the winner. The subsequent second and third places along with runner up positions will be decided in a similar manner. Here are the different ways to earn points as well as a few tasks and challenges that will earn you extra points. All of these tasks are taken in account with the one month that this contest is in effect.

Basic:
1 point per post
2 points per thread
15 points per referral
25 points if you submit a unique Youtube video to the G3F Community channel
30 points if you submit a video tutorial to the G3F Community channel
30 points for every unique tutorial/guide you post on the forum
50 points if you earn an award

Advanced:
50 points if you manage to make 500 posts
100 points if you manage to make 1000 posts
50 points if you make 50 threads
25 points if you host a cool giveaway or contest of your own that ends before July 5th

Special
25 points - Post a picture of you holding up a sign with the forum link (GThreeForums.Net) in a public place.
25 points - Post a video of you playing upto three instruments in a music shop. Video must be new and you must say the words "GThree Forums" in it.
50 points - Post a video with atleast 3 people singing an original song about GThree Forums (atleast 45 seconds).
100 points - Get someone with a Twitter profile with more than 100,000 followers to tweet the message "GThreeForums scavenger? bit.ly/g3fcontest [yourusername]"
200 points - Create a Youtube video promoting G3F and have it get over 9000 views and 100 likes.
200 points - Get a link from this forum to the front page of Reddit or 9Gag

First
- 2000 Gs
- Beta access to a special group
- Three months of Delta membership
- Special Anniversary edition award
- Direct nomination in July's MotM contest
- And a couple of surprises...

Second
- 1500 Gs
- Two months of Delta membership
- Special Anniversary edition award
- Direct nomination in July's MotM contest
- And a special surprise?

Third
- 1000 Gs
- Two months of Delta membership
- Special Anniversary edition award
- Direct nomination in July's MotM contest
- And a special surprise?

3 Runner ups
- 250 Gs
- One month of Delta membership
- And maybe something special :)

You may not ask for an exchange for any of the prizes in return for Gs or money.
You may transfer the prize to another person as a gift, forfeiting ownership of it completely.
The staff does not hold any responsibility for any mental, physical or extra-terrestrial damage that may occur to any person as a result of this contest.
Yes, 15 referrals still gets you that award.
Yes, the youtube award is also available, but not in conjunction with the challenges set in the instructions.
By taking part in this contest, you agree to the decisions of the staff on any and all matters regarding this.

EDIT: Bronies are not people i know i have disregarded the rule above that statement but cmon seriously?

I have a system in place. I think. Either it works or I'll have to shut down the forum and count each post manually. So hope it works lol.

Might as well refer people not really for prizes but to get lots of active people on. A forum is always boring when there are seldom posts!
