Sony acquires Cloud Gaming company Gaikai

Apparently the rumors were true. Sony Computer Entertainment recently acquired the cloud gaming company Gaikai for approximately $380 million. They're planning on introducing amazing new cloud steaming capabilities for the PS3 and their other services which might mean that we might be able to stream PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 games through the cloud, essentially making the PS3 backwards-compatible again.

This is gonna be either really or really bad for sony. Ihope it turns out really good since it's basically a gamble

That sounds like a good idea. Hopefully it'll have good results. And hopefully it'll be worth the 380 million they used up for it. :P

Its possible that this will hold more potential for the console gamers than the PSP gamers, but its still too early to say that. I'm just excited that they're probably bringing back backwards compatibility with this.

Hmm yeah, wonder how many still play PS2 right now. I know there are who still play it, but don't think there are many. :P

The only game i for my ps2 is tribes. it's so fun. i lost all my other ps2 games.
