The Beginning

“Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome to the stage, Craig Whitehouse!” Was it a dream? No, it couldn’t be, he could feel the roughness of the cloth on the table and the smell of his wife’s Chanel perfume. He couldn’t believe it, he had done it. The walk up to the stage felt like an eternity, the cheering of the crowd deafening. He had finally achieved what he had strived to do for the past five years. Kids everywhere would know his name and their lives would be significantly improved by his work. Confused? I thought you might be. To understand this story we must jump back ten years. This is the story of Craig Whitehouse.

Craig was always a lonely person. From an early age he had learned how to be alone with himself and enjoy his own company. Throughout his life he had very few friends. The few friends he had made only stayed with him for a few months and would then move on. I’m telling this story to you now in the hope that you can understand what it’s like to live the life of an outsider.

From his first years in school Craig was the quiet boy of the class. He was from a working-class area of Scotland called Paisley. Paisley was known for being a rough town. Paisley is split into different areas, or more commonly known as Schemes, as called by the youngsters in the area. He was from one of the worst Schemes known as Foxbar. Craig, being chubby for as long as he could remember, always took the brunt of the abuse from his classmates. This made him awkward and very introverted, pushing him evermore into obscurity in the classroom, never raising his hand and never replying when asked a question. Having made no friends in his first six years of school, he was depressed as he would sit in his room when he got home from school and do nothing. However, there was one day that would change his perspective on life.

It was the big day. Craig had been looking forward to this most of all because his favourite band was playing the big event called ‘Choices for Life’. The main purpose of this concert was to alert kids to the dangers of drugs. His class was leaving the school at 9:30am as the event was starting at 11:30am in Glasgow. On the way there Craig sat by himself down the front, as usual, and he sat staring out the window, silently singing The Calendars in his head as the coach drove along the motorway, ignoring the shouts of the boys at the back. Finally, after a 45-minute drive, the coach pulled up outside the SECC and the class filed out the bus and took our seats in the concert hall. As he walked into the hall he couldn’t believe the buzz in the atmosphere as everyone was excited for The Calendars.

The Calendars were playing last, after two other bands and four short videos about drugs. After what felt like a lifetime they were on! Craig, too uncomfortable to jump around like everyone else, just sat there taking in the moment. Finally he had the chance to see his favourite band. The ringing in his ears after they played was worth it.

On the way back Craig was in a euphoric state after seeing The Calendars since he had been following the band for the past three years. He was in such a good mood that the moronic shouts from the idiots up the back didn't even faze him when they eventually turned to shouting at him, after tearing apart the shoddy seats of the coach.

Later that night as Craig lay in bed he was thinking about the short videos he had seen during Choices for Life. In one of them there had been a situation where a girl had been caught with drugs on her. She was then stopped by the police and taken to the Police Station, where she was detained for three months, and then there was a flash-forward to her future, where she was a homeless drug addict, and Craig was thinking to himself how he would never end up like that, as he had seen a good few examples of this in the area where he lived, more commonly described in Scotland as a ‘Shitehole’.

That night he got very little sleep. He stayed awake thinking about the things he had seen in his 10 years of living in Foxbar. Among the list were Drug Addicts, Alcoholics and what Craig liked to call ‘The Great Unwashed’. Around 90 per cent of the population of Foxbar were living in council houses, getting child benefits etc. Basically, any way of getting more money was taken advantage of by these people. Craig was sick of living in this place. When he eventually managed to fall asleep he had a vivid dream of his future. He was living in a village called Kilmacolm, he had a beautiful house, two gorgeous children and a breath-taking wife. This was the image ingrained in his mind for his entire life and the driving force in his working life.

I am a big Liverpool FC supporter, I play Xbox and PC and when I am not working and playing on either of the above I will probably be on the golf course

I used to do Graphics before but lost interest and i am trying to get back into it so if anyone has any tips or want any graphics just PM and any tips would be greatly appreciated, i would post some off my work but it was on my old computer so i cannot gain access to it

I look forward to using G3 and hopefully meeting some nice guys while im here]]>

An almost 3 minute trailer for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is out and It's got me hooked. I think looking at the poster of it itself it's safe to say that Agent Coulson being alive isn't a spoiler anymore. But damn. After a long and grueling wait, the G3 Minecraft Server is returning, for now we are working on making sure that the server will impress you. There is no confirmed date as of yet but I am sure it will be sometime within the next few weeks.
